General
Grids
- Level based formatting has been improved (you can now use the syntax LEVEL: 3 to format all members at level 3 of the dimension)
- Named sets are now displayed as part of the member selector
- Client side named sets can now be created in the member selector
- An option to display Member properties at different levels, but with the same name, in a single column
Tables
- The number of rows to display using the pager control can now come from an Excel Range
- Additional layout options for the paging control
- Column headers can be removed from tables using a new property
Visualisation
- New incell chart - Lollipop
- Treemaps can be created with the data sourced from cubes, SQL, or an Excel range
- Small multiples include a "Missing Data Handling" option
Slicers
- New Date Slicer

Scheduling
- Scheduling distribution groups can now come for a SQL Query
Excel Edition
General
- Support for Excel 2013
- Support for connecting to PowerPivot workbooks

Grids
- The member property selection screen has be redesigned and the order of the member properties can now be easily modified
- The report designer now includes a measure group selector - enables quick filtering of the hierarchies by measure group
- Hovering over a selected member will show the complete path to reach that member (i.e. 2012 -> Q1 -> Jan 2012)
- Grids can be edited by double-clicking in the data area
- Named sets can now be created in the Member Selector (Highlight the members required, right-click and select "Create Named Set")
Tables
- DAX tables now include a "Add Slicer" shortcut
Formulas
- Any cube level errors (#queryex) can now be viewed using Extras -> Trace Formula Errors
- XL3RunSQLProc
- New options for XL3SetProperty:
- "SortColumns" to control the columns to use for sorting data tables
- "Recalc Range" added to ribbon, will recalculate the selected range
- New formulae XL3RefreshObjects and XL3RefreshObjectsNamed, can be used to trigger refreshes of grids, slicers etc. using XL3Link
Visualisation
- All colour selections now show the 2007/2010 colour profiles (for Excel 2003 users the colour selection remains the same)
- New option to easily create Round Corners for dashboards and scorecards
Workbook Options
- The ability to specify a worksheet protection password, this allows XLCubed to work with protected workbooks; unlocking and re locking the worksheets as required
- "Save to Excel" as live can now be disabled for a specific workbook
